If you have AreaCodeFinder™ version 3.0 or 3.1 please follow the instructions below.
________________________________________________
Step 1:
Delete the "AreaCodeFinder Prefs" file. System 6.x users will find the "AreaCodeFinder Prefs" file in their System folder.
System 7.x users will find the "AreaCodeFinder Prefs" file in the "Preferences Folder" inside the System folder.
Simply drag this file into the trash. A new "AreaCodeFinder Prefs" file will be created when you run the new version of AreaCodeFinder™.

Step 2:
Read the "ACF Data Merger™ Read Me" file that is included.
* If you plan on using the ACF Data Merger utility to copy your data from an old version of AreaCodeFinder™...
Please make a backup copy of your version of AreaCodeFinder™ first, just as a precaution to avoid any loss of data.
If you've added area codes, cities, or postal codes to your version of AreaCodeFinder™, and you don't want to lose that data, please use the "ACF Data Merger™ 1.0" utility to merge your data into the AreaCodeFinder data file. Your data will be merged with the data file that I have provided. After the merge, 1 data file will be used with AreaCodeFinder™ 4.x. You may then delete the older version of AreaCodeFinder™. Please read the "ACF Data Merger™ Read Me" file before using the ACF Data Merger utility.
If you don't care about the data that you've added, OR you haven't added any data to AreaCodeFinder™, then simply trash the older version of AreaCodeFinder™. No merging is necessary.
